Protéines France

Protéines France, founded in September 2017, is a French consortium uniting enterprises to accelerate the development of plant-based and alternative protein sources. The organization aims to create a cohesive value chain, facilitating agricultural, industrial, and R&D projects while supporting the communication and marketing of innovative products. It organizes the Protéines France challenge to assist start-ups like YEASTY by providing personalized coaching and facilitating networking within the protein ecosystem. The consortium also leads the ProteiNEW project to enhance sectors involving plant proteins, algae, insects, and microorganisms. In alignment with the Government's Productive Pact initiated in 2019, Protéines France focuses on sustainable food for health as a key market opportunity. It is actively involved in raising awareness about plant proteins and guiding strategies for a national protein plan. Protéines France collaborates with the French State to secure support for development projects in this sector. The association plans to position France as a world leader in plant and new protein sources by 2030, proposing that innovation support tools be directed towards these initiatives. Protéines France's activities include strategic seminars, innovation roadmaps, and the organization of events to engage stakeholders and promote advancements in the protein sector, ultimately aiming to meet consumer demands and address climate change challenges while fostering local job creation.
