re-generation
We Are The ReGeneration is a project of Decade of Action, an ANBI foundation and act-tank focused on accelerating systems change over a ten-year period, with the organization set to dissolve in 2030. It positions itself as a movement and platform that helps shift society toward a regenerative culture and an economy that works with nature rather than against it. The initiative starts from food and agriculture, which it sees as a practical and culturally powerful entry point for broader change. It aims to connect pioneers, thought leaders, farmers, scientists, indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, and young people, and to make regenerative ideas more visible, attractive, and actionable for policymakers, consumers, retailers, and other influencers. Core Values Regeneration : The organization centers life-supporting systems and seeks to restore and improve ecological, economic, and social systems through regenerative principles. Connection : It emphasizes moving from isolation to collaboration, bringing together people and initiatives that are often working separately toward similar goals. Positive storytelling : It uses an energetic, solution-oriented tone to create a “positive antidote” that inspires action rather than only highlighting problems. Nature alignment : The platform promotes working with natural processes, indigenous principles, and future generations in mind, with reciprocity as a guiding idea. Inclusivity and openness : Regeneration is presented as an open process rather than a closed model or certification, inviting anyone who wants to contribute to more life. Unique Aspects Ten-year mission with a planned sunset : Decade of Action was founded in 2020 to accelerate transition work over ten years and plans to wind down in 2030, making the initiative explicitly time-bound. Food and agriculture as the starting point : Unlike a general sustainability platform, it deliberately begins with food and farming because food is universal and the Netherlands has outsized influence in agriculture. Movement plus media platform : It combines editorial storytelling, films, events, and network-building in one platform, rather than operating as a single-issue campaign. Bridge between diverse knowledge systems : The organization explicitly weaves together scientific knowledge, indigenous wisdom, youth perspectives, and the practical innovation of farmers and entrepreneurs. Public-facing regenerative culture work : It aims not only at policy or practice change, but at shifting culture from niche to mainstream by making regeneration aesthetically and socially attractive.
