Passecti

Passecti offers delicious, nutritious, and healthy pasta made with at least 30% insects, a highly beneficial food source that is underutilized in the Netherlands. Insects provide a healthy alternative to meat with a minimal environmental impact, using less land, water, and food per kilogram of protein while producing fewer emissions. Passecti’s mission promotes sustainable eating and highlights insects’ vital role in the ecosystem, with 5% of profits dedicated to insect preservation in the Netherlands. Founded by Vera Methorst, who developed a passion for insects during high school and furthered her knowledge through studies in animal and livestock farming as well as Entomology in England, Passecti aims to inspire others to embrace insects in their diets. The pasta is made from half mealworms and half flour, with a pinch of salt, emphasizing natural ingredients without unnecessary additives. Currently, quality tests are ongoing to enhance the pasta's taste, preparing for an upcoming launch where customers can be among the first to try the product.
