Bolscher

Bolscher is a family business. The brothers Roy and Chiel Bolscher, from Enter in Overijssel, took over the company from their father Harry. In 1978, this Bolscher senior laid the foundation for the meat company that has now grown into a well-known name in the region, where you immediately think of service and quality. From their farm, Harry's Farm, the farmers, together with companies, institutions and individuals from the area, manage the nature reserve Enters Reggedal. With a major role for the Black & Red Angus cattle that maintain the area. They are raised with respect for nature and made suitable for small-scale meat production through natural wastage. Meat from animals that have been well fed and treated with respect has, in addition to an excellent taste on your plate, no bitter aftertaste. The meat industry has to deal with major environmental issues. Bolscher does not want to be at the back of the queue, but wants to play a leading role in reducing CO₂ emissions as much as possible. That is why we are also actively involved in developing new circular, “less meat” concepts and initiatives for small-scale regional meat production. A few nice practical examples; the administration is virtually paperless, packaging is recyclable and electricity is generated by 1,500 solar panels. In addition, they explore new ways of eating meat. For example, by developing burgers that contain 50% vegetables in addition to meat.
