European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture

The European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture (EARA) is an independent, farmer-led coordination, advocacy, and collective action organisation for the regenerative agriculture movement in Europe. Built by farmers for farmers, it works to accelerate the transition to regenerative agriculture by supporting ecological restoration, economic viability, and social renewal across the agrifood system. EARA brings together regenerative farmers and allies to share practical knowledge, exchange experiences, and build collective power, while also connecting research, education, policy, and on-the-ground implementation. Its work spans farmer-led research, solutions, knowledge and education, and policy and advocacy, including efforts to influence European policy and bring the voice of regenerative farmers to Brussels. EARA is made up of farmers from diverse geographies, farm types, ages, and genders, with decision-making led by farmer members through a Farmer Board and Steering Committee. The wider community also includes associated partners, practitioners, researchers, and partner organisations such as companies, institutions, and NGOs aligned with EARA’s mission and principles. The operational team supports the farmer-led alliance by coordinating, facilitating, and translating community needs into action. EARA’s mission is to enable a system-wide transformation of the European agri-food sector by scaling regenerative agriculture practices, strengthening farmer prosperity and independence, and helping create a future where healthy soils, biodiversity, resilience, and thriving farming communities are the norm. The organisation emphasises unity in diversity, context-specific regeneration, continuous improvement, and outcomes over dogma or one-size-fits-all practices.
