Colab4Food is a Collaborative Laboratory dedicated to research and development in the agri-food sector, with a focus on enhancing competitiveness and sustainability through innovation and knowledge transfer. The laboratory aims to foster a paradigm shift in collaboration among stakeholders in the food industry, promoting sustainability and increasing competitiveness on both national and international levels. It serves as a catalyst for innovation, addressing complex, multidisciplinary challenges faced by the agri-food industry and facilitating the implementation of Circular Economy principles. Colab4Food is committed to developing effective models for knowledge and technology transfer, disseminating scientific knowledge, and establishing itself as the national reference entity for applied innovation and collaborative research in the food sector. In the medium term, the organization seeks to accelerate the development of new products and processes, valorize by-products to reduce waste, and align its R&D agendas with the European 2027 agenda while providing consultancy services to its members.
