Lower Silesia 360°

The Lower Silesia 360° is an innovative Regenerative Innovation Portfolio project in the South West of Poland. Spanning 20,000 hectares and 200 farms in southwestern Poland, the initiative targets four key crops – rapeseed, wheat, malting barley, and sugar beet. The objectives of this project are to: Enhance soil health: Implement practices that improve soil structure, moisture retention, and nutrient availability, fostering an environment conducive to crop growth. Promote biodiversity: Reintroduce and nurture native plant and animal species, creating symbiotic ecosystems that enhance farm resilience. Increase farmer profitability: Develop farming models that align sustainability with profitability, ensuring economic viability for local farmers. Project Maturity The Lower Silesia 360°project was launched in October 2025, and is now starting up. The project is the third regenerative agriculture landscape to be launched under the Regenerative Innovation Portfolio. Partners and Collaboration This initiative has been brought to life through the concerted efforts of a dedicated partnership network: Firstly a collaboration between EIT Food and Foodvalley Together with Bunge , PepsiCo , Viking Malt and Intermalta , Backed by the Lower Silesian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Wrocław (DODR ) And supported by Terra Nostra Foundation, GroundUp, My Easy Farm, Seqana and Biospheres. Conclusion The Lower Silesia 360° project exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to agricultural sustainability, embodying a cohesive model of ecological restoration, economic prosperity, and community involvement. As it progresses, the initiative provides a replicable framework for addressing some of the most pressing challenges faced by the agriculture sector today.
