The Upycling Community is a global platform dedicated to food upcycling, focusing on the valorisation of unavoidable and nutritional side streams into food ingredients and food applications. TUC connects ingredient suppliers, food manufacturers, and various stakeholders, including over 50 partners and an international network of entrepreneurs, academia and other experts. The community includes diverse entities like suppliers of side streams, ingredient producers, food manufacturers, and various enabling organisations, and emphasizes collaboration across the value chain. TUC fosters partnerships tand offers resources like the Global Food Upcycling Map which is globally launched on international Upcycling Day the 24th of June. Initiatives like UPcycled4Food seek to guide various value chain partners towards feasible and impactful solutions for valorising side streams into food, focusing on sustainability as on market values created by those upcycled food concepts.
