Valorial is a French innovation cluster focused on sustainable agricultural and agri-food innovation. It brings together members from business, research, transfer organisations and education to stimulate responsible food innovation and support collaborative projects across the food chain. Based in Brittany, Pays de la Loire and Normandy, Valorial works closely with companies and ecosystem partners in western France while also operating at national and international level. Unique Aspects A long-standing regional cluster : Valorial says it has been accelerating the transition of agri-food sectors towards sustainable models for 20 years, with a strong base in western France. A broad innovation ecosystem : It supports more than 800 structures, has structured 660 research and innovation projects since 2006, and generates around 700 qualified connections per year. Strong European reach : Valorial reports 80 partnerships with European clusters and participation in more than 25 European and international projects since 2016. Dedicated international and European capability : The cluster has a team dedicated to Europe and international activities and uses this network to support funding access, consortium building and cross-border collaboration. Exclusive partner network : Valorial works with selected partners such as Crédit Agricole en Bretagne, Fidal, Isatech and KPMG to strengthen project success through complementary expertise. Recognised cluster management : Valorial states that it obtained the European Gold Label of Cluster Management Excellence in 2022.
