Multiphase Dryers, founded in May 2022, builds on the novel drying technology developed by Chardon Engineering BV since 2018. This technology utilizes low-grade residual heat or heat recirculating heat pumps for different applications, including food-grade drying of herbs and perishable food by-products into non-perishable resources, which can also be utilized in pet food and feed products. Additionally, it is designed for drying wet biobased feedstock like plant fibers for biobased product production. A specialized version is available for efficiently drying garments. The founders, Merlijn Chardon and Jan-Hein van Twist, are experienced tech-entrepreneurs with expertise in drying circular food ingredients and biobased resources. Starting January 2024, the company's main workshop/headquarters will be in Meerlo, Limburg, Netherlands, with another workshop located at the Protein campus Beers.
