Foodvalley

Foodvalley NL is a nonprofit organization focused on creating sustainable food systems and supporting agrifood business development. Established in 2004 through collaboration with Wageningen University and Research, agrifood companies, and regional government, Foodvalley serves as a transition catalyst, engaging a diverse range of stakeholders including organizations, farmers, entrepreneurs, and partners from adjacent sectors like banking and technology to co-create solutions for the food transition. With funding primarily from the Province of Gelderland, Foodvalley maintains its independence, allowing it to navigate conflicting interests and effectively support around 500 partners. Its mission is to develop an international ecosystem that collaborates to achieve a sustainable global food system. Foodvalley actively publishes job vacancies on LinkedIn and encourages open applications for potential candidates. Chairman Linda Broekhuizen emphasizes Foodvalley’s crucial role in accelerating the transformation of agrifood production and consumption systems. The organization provides structured support and fosters collaboration across the ecosystem, understanding that successful innovations require the right conditions, partnerships, and strategies to navigate challenges on the path to sustainability.
