Dutch Edamame

Dutch Edamame - that's what we call the fresh young soybeans from the Netherlands. Unlike their exotic counterparts, they simply come from the Flevoland clay. They taste wonderfully fresh sweet and are also packed with nutrients! A real bean with character. Dutch Edamame is an initiative of a group of Flevoland growers in collaboration with Green Organics. The knowledge and experience of Green Organics, together with the expertise of the growers, forms a strong team to put the cultivation of Dutch soybeans on the map. Soy is not a typical Dutch crop and was not originally cultivated in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, we choose to invest a lot of time and effort in setting up Dutch cultivation. Indeed, we believe this crop is one of the new heroes of our diet. Dutch Edamame are beans with character. They are very similar to their exotic counterparts, but are also slightly different. The color green differs from bean to bean and the size is not always the same. Nice, isn't it, a bit of diversity? And the taste, it's delicious! A little nutty, fresh sweet and delicious in a salad, stir-fry, wrap or spread. Dutch Edamame is available both organically and conventionally and is a source of vegetable proteins, fibres, calcium, vitamin C and iron. So a real powerhouse.
