SOCOPRO asbl is a Wallonia-based support structure created and subsidized by the regional government under the Walloon Agricultural Code. It originated from the merger of eleven former sector councils into a single non-profit association, while keeping its staff organized by sector according to the production areas they originally served. The organization acts as a logistical and coordination platform for two complementary domains in Wallonia: agriculture and food. Through the Collège des Producteurs and the Manger Demain coordination cell, it helps connect producers, public authorities, and value-chain actors, and it contributes to the regional governance of sustainable food policy. Key Offerings Logistical support structure : SOCOPRO provides an institutional and operational support function for sector-based work in Wallonia. It is designed to help organize, coordinate, and sustain activities across agricultural and food-related filières. Collège des Producteurs : This branch serves as the link between producers, public authorities, and actors in the different value chains. It represents producer interests and facilitates dialogue across the sector. Manger Demain coordination : SOCOPRO also hosts the coordination structure for the Walloon Manger Demain strategy, which focuses on building a more sustainable food system in Wallonia.
