The company specializes in fermenting plant-based crops, especially second-grade produce and by-products from other food productions, to create nutritious and flavorful alternatives. ByRoots' flagship product, tempeh, is made from Danish raw materials such as gray peas, flaxseed, and wheat bran, offering a climate-friendly and innovative option that introduces new flavors and textures to the kitchen. The team behind ByRoots consists of food technologists Niels Juel-Nielsen and Jimmy Vidkær Delgado, who bring diverse expertise to the company's mission.
