B2BE Facilitator connects entrepreneurs from the agriculture, marine, and food industries with industrial partners to promote green innovations in the carbon-neutral and fossil-free bioeconomy. Focused on fostering green solutions, B2BE offers support for entrepreneurs looking for new sales channels for residual flows or biomass, and aims to source local raw materials or technological solutions for environmentally friendly products. The facilitator works thematically, assessing various topics every six months in collaboration with Flemish entrepreneurs and industries, and identifying technological challenges while fostering trust among stakeholders. The B2BE Facilitator, operational since 2021 under ILVO and closely aligned with Flanders Circular, collaborates with the Flemish government and a network of research institutions and practice centers. They accelerate the Flanders bio-economy by connecting biomass producers from sectors like agriculture, horticulture, and aquaculture with SMEs seeking sustainable solutions. The B2BE Facilitator periodically identifies themes pertinent to biomass availability and processing, as well as exploring financing options and barriers within the bio-economy. Various events and workshops, such as the Sustainable Futures Conference, are organized to advance discussions and developments in this field. Overall, B2BE Facilitator is dedicated to nurturing innovation and establishing market pathways for bio-based products, all while addressing environmental concerns associated with traditional materials. They invite inquiries from those interested in the bio-economy and are committed to carefully addressing each concern.
