Alimentec

Alimentec is a French technopole created in 1992 in Bourg-en-Bresse. It brings together around 10 actors and more than 110 professionals working on food and packaging topics, with a focus on supporting the agro-food sector from raw materials through to packaging. Rather than being a single company with one product line, Alimentec functions as a collaborative ecosystem. Its members include research laboratories, technical centers, an innovation platform, a university presence, and business groups, all working together to serve companies ranging from farms and start-ups to SMEs and large industrial groups. The technopole positions itself as an excellence hub for the food industry with a European reach, combining research, training, testing, consulting, and service activities around major sector challenges such as food safety, sustainable food and packaging, consumer expectations, and the development of future professionals.
