About Accueil Mosan

L’Accueil Mosan is a Namur-based non-profit association supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and, in some services, people with more complex or increasing support needs. Its mission is centered on helping beneficiaries live with as much autonomy, dignity, and social participation as possible, through accommodation, day support, and individualized accompaniment.

The organization brings together several complementary services: supervised apartments, residential homes, individual accompaniment, community activities, and short-stay respite. Across these settings, it works with beneficiaries, families, and partner networks to adapt support to each person’s project of life, while maintaining a strong focus on inclusion, well-being, and personalized care.

Unique Aspects

• A multi-service structure built over time: The organization grew from an occupational workshop founded in 1963 into a broader association created in 1991, now covering accommodation, accompaniment, and respite across several Namur sites.
• Strongly individualized pathways: Beneficiaries can move between services as their needs evolve, from supervised apartments to residential care or respite, reflecting a flexible approach rather than a one-size-fits-all model.
• Specialized support for aging or higher-dependency profiles: Entre d’Eux and the planned respite service are designed for people whose needs are heavier, older, or more complex, with adapted infrastructure and closer support.
• Network-based accompaniment: The association works with external medico-social and psycho-educational partners, and explicitly involves families and close relatives as partners in the life project.
• Concrete respite capacity under development: The website states that a 10-place residential respite service is planned for 2026, with public subsidy support from AViQ and additional fundraising still sought for fittings and outdoor works.
