AgriFood Capital is a collaborative effort in North-East Brabant, recognized as the top region in agrifood in 2020. The initiative brings together entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and government bodies to develop innovative and sustainable food production systems. Its mission focuses on addressing global agrifood challenges through smart regional solutions, contributing to a smarter, healthier, and more sustainable future. The collaboration includes industry leaders, knowledge institutes, and public authorities, working to transform social and economic challenges into new opportunities in sustainable food production. AgriFood Capital acts as a platform for food innovators, offering access to knowledge, coaching, networks, and funding to entrepreneurs looking to advance their businesses. By partnering with other sectors like high tech and logistics, it fosters a robust agrifood ecosystem. The foundation’s strategic board features prominent figures in agrifood and technology, with partners including Wageningen UR, TU/e, HAS University, ZLTO, and Trouw Nutrition/Nutreco. AgriFood Capital BV serves as the foundation's development arm, engaging in networking, matchmaking, project development, and communication. Emphasizing international cooperation, AgriFood Capital collaborates with food regions across Europe, leveraging global partnerships to enhance knowledge sharing. The organization has been awarded the ECEI BRONZE label since May 19, 2017, recognizing its excellence in cluster management.
