Olatein

Olatein is a joint venture between DSM and Avril Group that specializes in producing CanolaPRO®, an innovative and sustainable plant protein extracted from the canola plant. This protein, known as Vertis™CanolaPRO®, is created using a unique proprietary technology and is versatile, suitable for applications in dairy, meat and fish alternatives, cereal, and sports nutrition. It is the only commercially available upcycled protein recognized by the Upcycled Certified Program with a nutritionally complete rating. The protein is derived from the protein-rich leftover 'cake' of canola seeds, which were previously used for animal feed, utilizing a mild, solvent-free process that avoids high temperatures and extreme pH levels, requiring no additional arable land. Vertis™CanolaPRO® is certified non-GMO, free from major allergens (dairy, gluten, soy), and is kosher and halal.
