Our love for milk The story of FrieslandCampina and our relationship with milk began in 1871. This was the year farmers decided to join forces in the predecessor of our today's cooperative. By doing so, they could strengthen their market position and ensure sales of their milk. Today, FrieslandCampina is one of the world’s largest dairy companies. Every day, we provide millions of consumers all over the world with valuable nutrition from milk. Not only in the form of milk itself, but with all kinds of dairy products we make from milk. FrieslandCampina at a glance We supply consumer products, such as milk, yogurt, cheese, infant nutrition and desserts, products for the professional market, such as cream and butter products, ingredients and semi-finished products for producers of infant nutrition, the food industry and the pharmaceutical sector. We have branches in 30 countries and export to more than 100 countries worldwide. Owned by farmers FrieslandCampina is one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the world. We have 9,001 member dairy farms and 14,183 member dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Our member dairy farmers are co-owners of the company through the cooperative. Sustainability and Nutrition As a nutrition company with a strong core in dairy, we want to provide good nutrition for the world. This comes with challenges for us and for our farmers. For instance, how can our farmers ensure that they produce milk in a way that is good for the planet itself? We are working hard to reach agreements and achieve our goals regarding sustainability.
