The Protein Brewery is a high-tech company founded in 2020, specialized in developing and producing sustainable, animal-free protein using fermentation. With a dedicated team of over 30 colleagues, they aim to provide future-proof food solutions to feed a growing global population, addressing malnutrition and ensuring food supply security. Their headquarters is located in Breda, Netherlands, where they opened a certified pilot plant in June 2021 to facilitate the production of their key ingredient, Fermotein®. A scale-up brewery for commercial production is being constructed for 2023. The company emerged from BioscienZ, focusing on new technologies in microbial fermentation. The diverse team comprises members from seven nationalities, including fermentation experts, master brewers, and business developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
