The DIL German Institute for Food Technology e. V. is dedicated to exploring new opportunities and fostering food innovations, supported by over 190 member companies and employing more than 200 staff members. The institute provides independent payroll services for approximately 150 employees and serves as a contact point for department heads and employees on pay-related inquiries. The DIL also offers administrative support for project managers in research project applications, including budget monitoring and personnel cost planning. DIL Engineering GmbH, an offshoot of the DIL's Mechanical Engineering Department, specializes in mechanical and plant engineering for safe and healthy food technologies. The company is involved in training Technical Product Designers and is looking to hire qualified individuals. Additionally, the DIL hosts events such as the International Summer University focused on Food Technologies in collaboration with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and encourages farmers' participation in the legumES project for field trials on legumes. The institute also engages in various initiatives including the EIT Food Entrepreneurship Programme, emphasizing innovation in the food sector.
