Nippon Suisan Kaisha Ltd. (Nissui) is a marine products company based in Japan, established in 1911, with annual revenues of US$5.1 billion in 2014. It is a commercial fishing and marine product procurement corporation, aiming to establish a global supply chain of marine products. Nissui is the second-largest company of its kind in Japan, following Maruha Nichiro Holdings, and owns Gorton's, a US frozen seafood company. The company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the Nikkei 225 index. Its main competitors include Maruha Nichiro and Kyokuyo Co., Ltd. In 2005, Nissui divested its whaling fleet amid controversy.
