Stichting Goeie Grutten is a non-profit organization that supports other non-profit organizations working towards a sustainable, healthy, and just society. They donate money but also through the use of knowledge and expertise and making connections in our network. Our foundation is active in three areas: Food, Energy and Democracy, Media & Privacy. Food Everyone has access to sufficient sustainable, healthy and varied food. We therefore support projects that promote one or more of the sub-themes below: a more plant-based offering and diet; anti food waste and valorizing residual flows; a sustainable and healthy eating environment; improving soil quality; sustainably produced, locally as much as possible. Energy The Goeie Grutten Foundation wants to contribute to solutions for the complex challenges that the energy transition entails. This could include good coordination of supply and demand and relieving the pressure on the current infrastructure, whether or not in combination with mobility. We finance projects in the field of use, production and storage of CO2-free energy. We explicitly do not look at solar and wind solutions, but rather at everything else that is needed to switch to a CO2-free energy system that works, even when the sun does not shine and the wind does not blow. Democracy, Media and Privacy The Goeie Grutten Foundation is committed to a society in which fundamental rights such as privacy and freedom of expression are guaranteed. The availability of diverse, independent and reliable information is crucial. Our foundation sees that these rights are increasingly under pressure.
