VENIK is a trade organization, known as the United Dutch Insect Breeders, that brings together insect breeders to collaboratively market insects like crickets, grasshoppers, mealworms, and black soldier flies for food and feed consumption. The association aims to promote insects as a safe alternative protein source and markets them as a joint Dutch quality product, adhering to General Food Law guidelines. VENIK provides information and engages in discussions with knowledge institutions, government, and media, while also stimulating research, promoting knowledge exchange, and developing new products to enhance cooperation and strategy for conquering both Dutch and international markets.
