Coroos

Coroos is a Dutch family-owned company established in 1957, specializing in the sustainable production of fruits, vegetables, and legumes. The company focuses on providing convenient, healthy, and tasty food products while adapting to consumer needs. Operating from two modern production locations in Geldermalsen and Kapelle, Coroos employs over 650 people and distributes its products primarily under well-known supermarket labels in Europe, as well as under its own brand, Servero, in the Netherlands and through Coroos Export outside Europe. Coroos is committed to sustainability, aiming to reduce pipe and groundwater consumption by 20%, increasing green energy usage to 50%, improving the valorization of residual flows, and phasing out single-use plastics. The company emphasizes responsible production without unhealthy additives, maintaining a focus on innovative techniques and circular principles. In collaboration with Zeeuwind, Coroos ensures its factories operate on 100% green energy. The company also participates in projects like OPZuid to develop vegetable fish substitutes and is involved in cultivating Dutch Red Kidney Beans through partnerships. Additionally, the Banana Factory opened in 2023 to create banana puree from rejected bananas, including organically certified options, promoting a no-waste approach. Coroos will showcase its mild pasteurized plant-based ingredients at PLMA 2024.
