Agriculture in the Netherlands is praised worldwide for our productions, efficiency and innovations. It is not for nothing that the Netherlands is the second largest agricultural exporter in the world. But this agricultural system has a downside. It makes too great demands on raw materials, water and energy. The environment is burdened and affects biodiversity and the landscape. In addition, income and burdens within the agricultural system are unfairly distributed.
