An enterprise is embedded in society. It is part of a complex ecosystem and is itself a complex ecosystem. Living and surviving in an ecosystem requires continuous adaptation. Charles Darwin already saw that. Not the fittest survives, but the most adaptive. Nature has randomness and natural selection for that. We have creativity and innovation.
